WORKER DUTIES

SERVICE WRITER

• Record vehicle identification number (VIN)

• Record make, model, year, mileage, and any options on the vehicle.

• Write the customers complaint clearly and in detail.

• Make sure work orders are given to shop foreman.

• Keep the customer informed on the progress of the repair on their vehicle.
  

SHOP FOREMAN

• Assign jobs (work orders) to technicians.

• Monitor progress of jobs and report to service advisor.

• Final vehicle inspection. Ensure that repair work has been completed properly and any problems solved.
  

TECHNICIAN

• Complete assigned work and report to Shop Foreman.

• Set aside damaged parts that are replaced for the customer to look at.

• Explain any problems to the customer, if asked to do so.
